FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS MANAGER (Hybrid/Ohio/Fairfield)

OPPORTUNITY

UTS Systems, LLC is currently seeking applicants for the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager position reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This position may be based at either our Virginia headquarters or our Massillon, Ohio facility. The Company operates four manufacturing locations: Fairfield, VA; Waynesboro, VA; Fort Walton Beach, FL; and Massillon, OH.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The FP&A Manager serves as a key business partner to executive and operational leadership and is responsible for forecasting, budgeting, operational analytics, and strategic financial planning across a multi-site manufacturing environment. This role is focused primarily on forward-looking financial analysis and operational performance. This position does not have primary responsibility for cost accounting, inventory accounting, or month-end close activities.

This is a hands-on position with the following responsibilities:

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes

• Develop financial models and scenario analyses supporting pricing, margins, labor efficiency, capital investments, and strategic initiatives

• Analyze manufacturing performance including labor, overhead, inventory, backlog, and production variances

• Partner with operations and supply chain leadership to identify risks, cost drivers, and margin improvement opportunities

• Deliver KPI reporting, executive dashboards, and monthly financial reviews to support business decision-making

• Improve forecasting accuracy, reporting automation, and ERP/reporting system effectiveness

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in FP&A roles, including:

• Demonstrated FP&A leadership experience within a manufacturing environment

• Advanced financial modeling and expert-level Excel skills required

• Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, standard costing, inventory, and margin analysis

• Experience working directly with operations and executive leadership teams

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in FP&A within manufacturing operations

• Multi-site manufacturing, government contracting, acquisition integration, or ERP implementation experience preferred

Cutting Operator (Fairfield, VA)

OPPORTUNITY

UTS Systems, LLC is currently seeking applicants for a full-time CNC Fabric Cutting Machine Operator position at our Fairfield, VA location. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be responsible for operating one of our CNC cutting machines. Previous experience with automated cutting equipment is preferred although not required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Cutting Machine Operator to join our production team. This position involves operating a digital cutting machine to process fabric and other materials with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor a digital cutting machine.

• Load, cut, and process fabric according to production requirements.

• Read and follow digital cut files and work instructions.

• Perform basic machine setup, tool changes, and routine maintenance.

• Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with automated cutting equipment. (preferred)

• Ability to work with fabric and handle large material rolls.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds as needed.

• Basic computer skills for loading files and adjusting machine settings.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

IDEAL EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• 1–3 years of experience operating digital or automated cutting machines in a manufacturing or textile environment.

• Experience working with CAD/CAM cutting systems or digital cut files preferred.

• Familiarity with fabric types, material handling, and production workflows.

• Prior experience performing basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Experience working in a fast-paced production or industrial setting with quality standards.

Integration Assembler (Fairfield, VA)

Essential Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for lengthy periods of time.

• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work alone and as a member of a team.

• Aptitude to learn on the job and follow the manufacturing processes.

• Ability to communicate and solve problems with team members.

Essential Duties:

• Assemble each unit per size, color and configuration specified in the order.

• Check and validate that each piece being integrated into the finished product meets our quality standards.

• If a quality exception is identified, communicate that problem to the necessary team members and follow the repair guidelines to eliminate the exception.

• Pack crates with finished goods, verifying that all necessary parts are physically present and accounted for in the appropriate documents.

Production- Production Assembler (Waynesboro/Fairfield, VA)

The Production Assembler will be part of a team responsible for manufacturing and assembling frame components for our shelter systems, as well as the kitting and packaging of finished goods. This includes the following responsibilities:

  • Assemble products and components based on detailed instructions, diagrams, or blueprints.

  • Operate various hand tools, power tools, and assembly machines to complete product assemblies.

  • Ensure all parts and materials are available to complete tasks and maintain stock levels.

  • Inspect assembled products to ensure quality and functionality meet company standards.

  • Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process and report any defects or issues.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and cleanliness protocols.

  • Adhere to production schedules and meet daily or weekly output goals.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.

  • Package finished products for shipment or storage.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues on the assembly line.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Fabric Welder (Fairfield, VA)

Fabric welding is the process of joining fabric panels together using a heating element or high frequency electric field. This process forms a water and air-tight seam which is necessary in the UTS Military product.

Note: UTS Systems uses equipment that may affect the operation of certain implanted heart devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators.

• Follow assembly instructions to ensure correct weld settings, tool and material selections.

• Use drawings and measuring devices to ensure patterns are correctly cut.

• Validate quality of material and welds.

• Identify, fold and label assemblies for transport to the next manufacturing operation.
