UTS Systems is currently seeking candidates for the following positions (locations).
Junior/Senior Buyer (Fairfield, VA)
The Junior/Senior Buyer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement process to meet the organization's operational needs. They will collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement requirements, make demand driven decisions, and ensure timely delivery of required goods and services. Responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, maintaining inventory levels, and creating a purchasing strategy for special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all sourcing and procurement for the UTS Systems Fairfield operations, including RFP’s, RFQ’s and vendor selection processes.
Vendor management
Setup - On-boarding new vendors (new supplier forms, credit terms, ERP vendor setup)
Communications - Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Pricing – Negotiate pricing.
Conduct vendor performance reviews.
Track lead times and ensure on time delivery.
Manage Purchase Orders in ERP system
Track material requirements through ERP reporting and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Enter and issue purchase orders; maintain accurate records of purchases & pricing.
Manage order acknowledgements and status, tracking deliveries to ensure on-time arrival.
Maintain SharePoint folders for all procurement activities.
Receiving / Shipping
Work with the Receiving Specialist to ensure all POs are properly received.
Work with the Shipping Manager to ensure that all Credit Return POs are properly shipped and processed, and that all incoming material shipments are tracked and/or picked up by our shipping department.
Analyze market trends to facilitate cost-saving initiatives and mitigate supply chain risks.
As assigned, work with Accounts cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance evaluations
Collaborate with production and inventory teams to monitor forecast demand and avoid stockouts to ensure supply continuity.
Collaborate engineering, production, and quality teams to align procurement with product specifications and timelines.
Research, select and purchase quality products and materials, as well as new suppliers’ capabilities.
Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom to perform quarter end inventory counts and periodic cycle counts as required.
IT Specialist (Fairfield, VA)
Job Summary
UTS Systems, LLC is currently seeking applicants for the Information Technology Specialist position located at our headquarters in Fairfield, VA. This is an on-site position that will report directly to the IT Manager. The Company maintains four facilities: one in Fairfield, VA, one in Waynesboro, VA, one in Fort Walton Beach, FL, and one in Massillon, Ohio. The Information Technology Specialist will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of multiple information systems and hardware devices for our business. This position will require limited on-call availability. Responsibilities include maintaining computer-related equipment; providing desktop support to staff across the organization and providing on-site troubleshooting when required.
Duties
Install and maintain computer-related equipment.
Provide computer support for all office locations via telephone, email, remote administration, and face-to-face contact.
Support company data backup policies.
Work with vendor service providers to support company IT operations.
Review help desk tickets for content, proper routing, first-call resolution, problem detection, and timely closure.
Support staff training on information systems, computer software, and security.
Report and communicate recommendations, trends, updates, and urgent issues to management.
Follow all information systems related to operational processes and procedures.
Adhere to cybersecurity policies and procedures.
Adhere to ISO/NIST policies and procedures.
Provide after-hours support as needed.
Limited travel may be required to each of the Company’s facilities to support operations.
Administrative Associate (Fairfield, VA)
Job Overview
The Administrative Associate plays a key role in supporting a variety of business administration activities, with a primary focus on human resources and Executive Assistant to the CFO. This is a hands-on position responsible for assisting with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training and employee relations. Additionally, the role supports payroll processes, workforce planning, and benefits administration.
Duties
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Manager across a wide range of HR functions and to the CFO.
Communicate and reinforce company policies and procedures to employees.
Organize, maintain, and update personnel files and HR databases.
Actively support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and employee evaluation processes.
Coordinate with external staffing agencies to fulfill production staffing needs.
Develop employee training materials, coordinate training sessions, and maintain training records.
Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Production- Production Assembler (Waynesboro, VA)
The Production Assembler will be part of a team responsible for manufacturing and assembling frame components for our shelter systems, as well as the kitting and packaging of finished goods. This includes the following responsibilities:
Assemble products and components based on detailed instructions, diagrams, or blueprints.
Operate various hand tools, power tools, and assembly machines to complete product assemblies.
Ensure all parts and materials are available to complete tasks and maintain stock levels.
Inspect assembled products to ensure quality and functionality meet company standards.
Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process and report any defects or issues.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and cleanliness protocols.
Adhere to production schedules and meet daily or weekly output goals.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Package finished products for shipment or storage.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues on the assembly line.
Follow all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
